Pastor Rev. Kue (Vamkhwb)
Rev. Kue Ly’s journey into ministry began in 1996, when he was invited by Rev. Yia Vang to lead the Hmong Ministry at Pilgrim Lutheran Church. From the very beginning, it was clear that God had placed a special purpose on his heart—to shepherd his people in faith and truth. Answering this call with humility and conviction, he was commissioned as a deacon for the Hmong congregation in March 1998.
Driven by a deep love for Christ and a passion to bring the Gospel to the Hmong community, Rev. Ly pursued further theological education through the DELTO (Distance Education Leading to Ordination) program at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. His desire was not only to serve but to lead his people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
With unwavering faith and perseverance, Rev. Ly was ordained on September 21, 2003. He was then officially called and installed as pastor of the Hmong Pilgrim Lutheran Church, where he has faithfully served for over 30 years. His ministry has been marked by compassion, spiritual wisdom, and a steadfast commitment to sharing the love of Christ.
Rev. Ly continues to be a guiding light in the community, nurturing faith, fostering unity, and proclaiming the hope found in Jesus. His life and leadership are a testament to God’s grace and the power of a servant’s heart.
